Harrison County Supervisor William Martin will be in Gulfport Municipal Court Dec. 29 to face DUI refusal charges.
Gulfport police arrested Martin on Sunday for alleged DUI refusal and other traffic charges.
Martin says he had a couple of drinks Saturday night at a bar after watching the New Orleans Saints football game on television.
Police say Martin refused to take a field sobriety test after being stopped. Police say they are awaiting the results of a blood sample.
Penalties for DUI refusal are similar to a first-offense DUI.
Martin, an attorney in Gulfport, has been a county supervisor since 1999.
