Authorities are trying to determine who left graffiti with racial overtones on a wall of a girl’s bathroom in Horn Lake High School.
Lt. Scott Evans told The Commercial Appeal the graffiti included a “you’re going to meet your God” list, names of mostly black students and a coach.
Investigators, who apprised the FBI of the incident after learning of it Wednesday, believe they are looking for a juvenile.
DeSoto County Schools spokeswoman Katherine Nelson said the district is conducting an internal investigation and reviewing a surveillance recording of the area in an effort to identify who put the graffiti on the wall.
She said the student will be expelled.
