In Picayune, city offices will be closed Thursday through Sunday and will reopen for regular business at 7 a.m. on Monday. Friday garbage will be picked up on Saturday.

The Post Office will be closed Christmas Day only.

A Wal-Mart spokesperson said the store will close at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Thursday, and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Saturday. It’s the only time of the year that Wal-Mart closes here.

All county offices will be closed Thursday through Sunday and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday.

Both Walgreen locations, north and south, will be open Christmas Day but the pharmacy will be closed. Regular store hours will resume on Saturday.

City Rexall will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, will be closed Christmas Day and will reopen for regular hours at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Picayune Drug Co. will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen for regular hours on Saturday.

A Rite-Aid spokesperson said the store will close at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, be closed all day Christmas and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Hancock Bank will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday and be closed on Christmas Day. The drive-through at the Northside Branch will open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The Southside Branch, both drive-through and lobby, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

BankPlus will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday and reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday.

First National will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday and reopen at the drive-through at 8:30 a.m. and in the lobby at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Sunflower will be open to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Winn-Dixie’s two locations will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve; the store will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day but the pharmacy will be closed. All operations will reopen on Saturday, the store at 7 a.m. and the pharmacy at 8 a.m.

Claiborne Hill will close at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, be closed Christmas Day and will reopen on Saturday at 7 a.m.

The Picayune Item and The Poplarville Democrat will be closed Thursday and Friday. However, carriers will be working and all newspapers will be delivered on Christmas Day on a regular schedule.

All schools and school administrative offices are closed for the Christmas break.
