A 46-year-old Hancock County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to having child pornography on his computer.

Brian Frechou of Bay St. Louis pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of exploitation of a child before Circuit Judge Roger T. Clark. Clark ordered Frechou to serve 20 years with 10 suspended, and three years of probation that will require him to report periodically.

Assistant District Attorney Chris Fisher said Frechou has also been given an eight-year sentence on federal charges.

Fisher said police executed a search warrant on Frechou’s computer in May 2008 and discovered several pieces of child pornography that had been downloaded.
