Lureal Elizabeth McKenzie, a resident of Bogalusa, La., passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Canon Hospice in Jefferson, La.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Doyle C. McKenzie; and one son, Doyle David McKenzie.

She is survived by: her daughter, Judi McKenzie Mickenheim and husband Leo Mickenheim, Jr. of Bogalusa; two brothers, Jack Wright of Foxworth, Miss. and Bennie Wright of Picayune; five grandchildren: Kelli (Jon) Woods of Lafayette, La., Jason (Lauren) Mickenheim of Baton Rouge, La., Jennifer Mickenheim of Lafayette, Tiffani Mayne of Bogalusa and Jessica McKenzie of Mandeville, La.; and two great-grandchildren: Jon Ross Woods and Olivia Grace Woods both of Lafayette.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 9 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. in Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Butch Reviere and the Rev. Clay Norwood to officiate. Interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Superior Avenue Baptist Church, 439 Superior Avenue, Bogalusa, LA 70427.
