The Daily Leader in Brookhaven reports supervisors recently shortened the name for the Lincoln County Multi-Purpose Facility to Lincoln Center.

In a letter to the board of supervisors, LCPA officials claimed the new name infringes on trademark rights.

Board member Bob Allen says there may be some possible infringement of LCPA’s intellectual property. He recommended supervisors consider another name change.

The newspaper reports LCPA officials declined to discuss the letter.
