Funeral services will be Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Weems Chapel United Methodist Church, for Leroy Washington Sr., 58, of Picayune, who passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Highland Community Hospital.

Burial will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009, in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

The Rev. Harvey Bernard will officiate at the service.

A native of Louisiana, he was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Allen Washington.

Survivors include: his wife, Janetta Washington of Picayune; five sons, Harry Sims of New Orleans, La., Matthew Washington of Denver, Colo.; Leroy Washington Jr. and Ronald Washington, both of Picayune, Roger Lee of Texas; two daughters, Vera Vidato of Alabama, and Tina Washington Stewart of Picayune; father, Willis Washington, Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; four brothers, Joseph Allen of Louisiana, Elex Washington of Alabama, Dale Washington of California, and Jerry Washington of Alabama; two sisters, Annie Rollins of Louisiana and Irene Hall of Virginia, and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Baylous Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 10 a.m. until time of service at Weems Chapel United Methodist Church.
