Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Bread of Life Fellowship Church, Salem Road, Picayune, for Iva Loye Burks, 89, of Picayune who passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 in Picayune.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Gerald Harris will officiate at the service.

A native of Pearl River County, she was a Homemaker and a member of Bread of Life Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, William G. Burks and Geneva Frierson Burks; three sisters, Mamie Dell Burks, Martha Jean Mailhes, and Ina Dawsey; and one brother, Melburn L. Burks.

Survivors include: her sisters, Minnie Lee Burks of Picayune, Essie Mae Broadnax of Augusta, Ga., and Louise Harris of Picayune; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Bread of Life Fellowship Church.
