Builder David Thompson of AAA Homes of MS says the construction company needs monetary donations to help ease its financial burden on an “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project in Hattiesburg.

Thompson said that AAA Homes has had to absorb some of the unexpected costs that have incurred to get additional materials and supplies for the project.

He says the company is about $25,000 in the hole so far.

The ABC-TV reality show came to Hattiesburg to film the construction of a new home for the family of Sherman and Gina Heathcock. The project has been plagued with inclement weather and other issues that have put construction behind schedule. The Heathcocks are vacationing in Orlando, Fla., until Thursday.
