College Board to review transfer policy

The state College Board is expected to review a policy in February that will more clearly identify community college classes that qualify for university credit.

A policy audit conducted this fall found formal articulation policies and agreements are in place, but in practice, arrangements are negotiated on an institution-by-institution basis.

The Clarion-Ledger reports that lawmakers have threatened to craft legislation in the upcoming session that would ease the transition from Mississippi’s public two-year schools to four-year schools, if no policy is carried out.
