Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Roseland Park Baptist Church for Bettye Stockstill, 66, of Carriere, who passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Carriere.

Burial will be in Carriere Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate at the service.

A native of Picayune, she was a dedicated member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Stockstill was a former business owner, homemaker, and County Supervisor for District 5.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Troy Stockstill; her parents, Roscoe and Gladys Hall; one brother, Curtis Hall; and one sister, Jane Lewis.

Survivors include: one son, Terry (Judy) Stockstill of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Sherri (Terry) Lawley of Carriere; and her grandchildren: Chase Stockstill, Shelby Stockstill, Brianna Lawley and Carson Lawley.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 1, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
