Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Poplarville for Mrs. Alice Faye Peterson, 81, of Poplarville who passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at her residence. Brother Dan Finley will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Paige Cemetery, Crossroads Community.

A native of Pearl River County, she was born December 15, 1927 to Calvin and Novella Smith-Seal. She was a homemaker and a member of Byrd’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Crossroads.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, C.J. Peterson; and one sister, Hazel Stephens.

Survivors include: one son, Jody Peterson and his wife Diane of Carriere; one granddaughter, Emily Dees and her husband Jason; along with one great-grandson, Austin Dees; and special friends, Agnes Martin, Marvin Paige and his wife Marty.

Visitation was held Saturday, December 12, 2009 at White Funeral Home in Poplarville from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
