Court records show a man and his wife have pleaded not guilty in federal court to participating in an alleged multimillion dollar Medicaid scam.

Latanicia McMillan Rogers and Wayne Rogers made their appearance in U.S. District Court on Thursday.

A 15-page indictment issued earlier this month said they worked for Primary Physical Medicine Inc., with offices in Durant and Gautier.

The indictment said the company billed Medicaid more than $18.7 million from 2003 to 2005 and was paid more than $8 million.

The company allegedly used unlicensed employees to provide alleged physical therapy care and submitted fraudulent claims to Medicaid.

Latanicia Rogers’ attorney had not comment. Wayne Rogers’ lawyer didn’t respond to a message.
