On Sunday, November 8, 2009, Ray departed this life at the age of 50 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a native of Picayune.

Homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Alex Wesco, Jr., will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Home.

Ray was preceded in death by: his father, Charles Johnson and stepfather, Clarence Tillman; grandparents, Willie and Mary Rice; sister, Lynette Tillman and God brother, Donald Breland.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving and devoted mother, Gerry (Geraldine) N. Tillman; two sons, Cassey Johnson and Ganarro Johnson both of Slidell, La.; one daughter, Amber Johnson of Picayune; three sisters, Bonnie (Henry) Peyton of Forth Worth, Temeka Johnson of Chicago, Ill., and Paula Garrett of Germantown, Md.; five brothers, Michael (Brenda) Tillman of Quitman, Miss., Stephen Tillman of Stonewall, Miss., André (Debra) Johnson of Slidell, Carlos Johnson of Picayune and Gino (Tina) of Gulfport, Miss.; six grandchildren, Ganarro, Kasey Jr., Kamone, Jaqeri, Corey, and Kalyn; Godparents, J.L. and Norvell Breland; Godsisters, Felecia and Jennifer Breland all of Picayune; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the church.

Brown’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
