Mississippi’s uninsured and underinsured can receive free swine flu medication.
The state Department of Health announced Monday it had reached agreements with some pharmacies to help distribute Tamiflu and Relenza, two medications used to treat H1N1 flu symptoms.
The medications will come from state and federal stockpiles, and will be used for patients who cannot otherwise afford them.
Patients must bring a doctor’s prescription to selected pharmacies to receive the medicine, along with documents stating they belong in a high-risk category.
The Health Department Web site has a list of participating pharmacies.
