The Lady Tigers knocked off Poplarville 60-55 in the girls championship game of the Pearl River Central Tip-Off Tournament Saturday night. Bay High is 4-0 on the year and the Lady Hornets are now 2-1.
“I told the girls this was good for them because now they can see how they have to raise their level of play,” veteran Poplarville head coach Annette Smith said. “We didn’t play bad, they just hit some real big shots, especially from the outside.”
Jeremi Roboteau nailed six 3-pointer’s for the Lady Tigers, and finished with a game high 23 points. Policia Travis led Poplarville with 14 points, while Demi Beason and Daquari Raine chipped in with 11 points apiece.
