Anyone who wants $50 worth of free items from a local merchant should visit the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce Web site.

Starting later this month, the Chamber will start drawing for winners of the giveaway, said Chamber Director April Parsons, but entries are being accepted. The last day to enter the giveaway will be Nov. 11.

Entries can be submitted by visiting the Chamber’s Web site at http://www.picayunechamber.org/. At the bottom of the Chamber’s page is an image of a gift certificate with Santa Claus on it, Parsons said all prospective entrants need to do is click on that image and fill out the short form on the next page.

Each winning certificate is for $50 worth of merchandise at a participating Chamber of Commerce business. Parsons said each week the Chamber will give away 20 of the $50 certificates. A list of participating merchants will be provided to the winners. Entrants can win only once.

Parsons said she is still looking for local businesses to participate in the program and is asking people to register to win on the chamber’s Web site.

Drawings for winners will be held on Nov. 23, Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, Parsons said. Winners will be notified by phone and e-mail. Winners should use their certificates by Christmas Eve.

Winner’s will be able to use the certificate only at one participating merchant and change will not be provided for purchases of less than $50.
