Two of New Orleans retired archbishops — Philip Hannan and Francis Schulte — are recovering from medical problems.
Diocese spokeswoman Sarah Comiskey said on Tuesday that Hannan was hospitalized twice in the past week for low blood pressure and a series of small strokes.
She says he has now returned home and can walk on his own.
Schulte was hospitalized after two falls. Comiskey was not sure of the extent of Schulte’s injuries. He is now in an assisted living facility in Philadelphia, his home town.
