Hattiesburg police have announced a sixth arrest in a child abuse case.

Police spokesman Synarus Green said the woman arrested Friday and charged with child abuse is the mother of a 4-year-old boy who police say was abused by five adults living in a rental home in Hattiesburg.

The arrests followed an anonymous tip to police, according to a report in Tuesday’s Hattiesburg American.
