Lecture series focuses on Obama

TOUGALOO (AP) — A panel discussion of President Obama’s first year in office will be held Nov. 12 at Tougaloo College.

The event is part of the Medgar Evers/Ella Baker Civil Rights Lecture Series. It be held at 6:30 p.m. at Woodworth Chapel on the campus of Tougaloo College, 500 W County Line Road, Tougaloo.

Panelists include: Byron D’Andra Orey, Jackson State University political science chairman; Stephen Rozman, Tougaloo College political science professor; Jackson city councilman Chokwe Lumumba; and Angela Kupenda, Mississippi College School of Law professor.
