Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Helen Marie Smith Ferguson Neff, 87, of Hattiesburg, Miss. who passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Hattiesburg.

Burial will be in Caesar Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. G.A. McCoy will officiate at the service.

A native of Hancock County, Miss., she was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Permelia Bilbo Smith; two husbands: Walter W. Ferguson and Lawrence F. Neff; her son-in-law, Gary Mitchell; one sister, Hilda Lamere Ludow; and one brother, Leroy Martin.

Survivors include: two daughters, Helen (Aubrey) Sanders of Picayune and Donna L. Mitchell of Picayune; one son, James (Deborah) A. Ferguson of Picayune; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
