An assistant district attorney in Harrison County says some law enforcement agencies there have shifted personnel in response to a recent grand jury report.
A Harrison County grand jury recommended that law enforcement agencies work to present felony cases in a timely manner to avoid speedy trial issues. The report, filed last month, didn’t specify which agencies had delays in preparing cases.
Charlie Wood, an assistant district attorney, told the Sun Herald newspaper that some agencies have made personnel shifts to put in place people who are responsive to what the grand jury requires.
