D’Iberville is moving forward with plans to move past Katrina’s damage. The city council has passed a resolution declaring the city’s intent to borrow $5.5 million in bonds.

Officials say the money will be used to expand and repair city hall as well as road improvement projects.

City manager Michael Janus say the $5.5 million would be D’Iberville’s share of $20 million dollars worth of projects. The rest would be paid for with state and federal grants.
