Cleo Neil Shedd, 69, of Picayune passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Picayune.

A native of Jefferson County, Ala., he was a retired service technician for Western Union and a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewil and Juanita Black Shedd.

Survivors include: his wife, Zelma Jeanette (Shafer) Shedd of Picayune; a son, Mike (Tabitha) Shedd of Cartersville, Ga.; brother, Mike Shedd of Jasper, Ala.; sister, Yvonne Trero of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Zachary Shedd, Devin (Ashley) Shedd, Michael Shedd, Harley Shedd all of Cartersville; also two great-grandchildren, Keagan and Cooper Shedd.

Services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Crestview Funeral Home in Adamsville, Ala.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service.

Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery.
