An Alabama man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for driving drunk and causing a head-on collision that killed a serviceman stationed at Keesler Air Force Base.
The Sun Herald reports that Kenneth Allen Keith of Birmingham, Ala., was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in Harrison County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors say Keith had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent — when his truck collided with another vehicle driven by Tech. Sgt. John W. Templin.
Templin, a native of Minnesota, died in the crash on Feb. 2, 2008.
