After a win at home over West Harrison Thursday night, Picayune will go on the road Monday in search of a division title.

The Lady Tide heads to D’Iberville in a battle for first place, after the 10-0 win Thursday secured a playoff berth.

Brooke Ladner had a two run double in the first to put Picayune ahead for good.In the third inning, Amanda Green had an RBI-triple and Hillary Dickens added a run scoring single.

The Tide then scored six runs in the 5th to end the game. Sarah Dodd had an RBI-single, as did Jessica Rancifer. Taylor Seals cracked a two run double, and then Millie Gill and Jennifer Walker added RBI-singles to end the game.

Dodd pitched her sixth shutout of the season for Picayune, which is 12-4 overall and 4-1 in league play.

• Poplarville won three games over the span of two days.

The Lady Hornets moved to an impressive 17-1 overall with a doubleheader sweep of George County at home Saturday winning 9-3 and 9-2.

On Thursday, the Lady Hornets beat Forrest County AHS 8-1 in league play to remain perfect in the division race with a 7-0 record.

Poplarville, which has also secured a playoff berth as well as the division championship, returns to action on Monday on the road at Greene County in the final district game of the season. Poplarville then travels to West Harrison Tuesday and hosts Picayune Thursday.
