Ben Usinger passed away Thursday September 17, 2009 at the age of 85. He was a beloved father and grandfather, as well as, a highly respected member of the community.

He worked for NCR in New Orleans for 35 years. After his retirement, he moved to Henleyfield, Miss., where he became the Treasurer for the Volunteer Fire Department and helped to expand their operation into the fine institution that it is today.

He is survived by: his son, Gary Usinger; and his grandson, Travis Usinger.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Henleyfield Community Pavilion which is located 15 miles northwest of Picayune on Hwy 43.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Henleyfield Volunteer Fire Department, 5585 Hwy 43, Carriere, MS 39426.
