Gov. Haley Barbour has issued an executive order ending any state funding given to the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, known as ACORN.

Barbour’s order was delivered to the secretary of state’s office on Monday. Barbour said in a news release he wants the state fiscal officer to conduct a review of the state’s relationship with ACORN and cut off any funding of current contracts.

The release didn’t say how much state money goes to ACORN or for what programs.
