MUW hosts Governor’s School

Mississippi University for Women is hosting the Governor’s School through June 26.
Officials say 115 students, representing 113 high schools from across the state, are participating in the program, which focuses on academic enrichment and leadership development while introducing students to the collegiate atmosphere.
It started Sunday.
The program was established in 1981 by Gov. William Winter.
It is open to rising high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement and who show high intellectual, creative and leadership potential.
Participants earn three hours of college credit.
