A 20-year-old man involved in a one-vehicle accident in Hattiesburg Saturday night has died.

Police say Matthew Glenn Rasberry of the Richton area died Sunday night at Forrest General Hospital from injuries he sustained in the accident.

Hattiesburg police responded to the accident around 11 p.m. Saturday at the bridge near Hattiesburg High School.

Officers found a car engulfed in flames, after the car had crashed into the concrete siding of the bridge.

Officers were able to free the driver from the vehicle and carry him to safety before the vehicle’s fuel supply exploded.
