Salvadore Robert Lamont has been charged with the sexual assault of three young boys.

Capt. Donnie Saucier, Chief Investigator for the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, said Lamont was arrested on June 1, after the department got a call about the alleged sexual battery of the juveniles.

The case was assigned to Det. Rhonda Poche and through her investigation and interviews she was able to develop enough evidence to charge Lamont with allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual acts with the juveniles.

Saucier said two of the male victims were five years of age and the third victim was nine years old.

Lamont, 47, of 17 Lee Lester Lane, was charged with three counts of sexual battery. Since the charges deal with children under the age of 12 the maximum sentence, if he is convicted of the charges, would be life, Saucier said.
