A 48-year-old Harrison County man died in a weekend mobile home fire and authorities are trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

Harrison County Deputy Corner Charles Wise says James Michael Ford died Saturday of smoke inhalation. Gulfport Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said a call was received around 1:30 a.m. and when the firefighters reached the badly damaged trailer, Ford was already dead.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi State Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating the blaze.
