Authorities say an 81-year-old Brandon man died Tuesday when his tractor rolled over him at his Rankin County home.

Sheriff Ronnie Pennington says Elmer Ray Willoughby climbed off his tractor to open a gate, but the brake wasn’t set. Although the engine was off, Pennington said the tractor rolled forward, killing Willoughby.

Pennington said autopsy results are pending on a man who died in a separate tractor incident about two weeks ago in Rankin County.
