A suspect in the slaying of a Long Beach man is being held in an Ohio jail.
Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says a federal fugitive task force found Richard A. Lambert, who also uses the name Jimmy Brantley, at a friend’s apartment in Cincinnati on Thursday.
Brisolara says Lambert will be charged with capital murder. He says deputies were being sent to talk to Lambert.
The arrest ended a manhunt that began after 79-year-old Robert Barnes was reported missing. A fisherman found Barnes’ remains floating at a marina Tuesday north of Pass Christian.
Brisolara says Lambert, who had stayed several weeks at a bed-and-breakfast across the road from Barnes’ home, is accused of robbing and stabbing Barnes.
