Harrison County officials say two suspects in the death of a Vancleave man have waived extradition and will be returned to Mississippi to face charges.
David Lee Obermiller and Bethany Nicole Goodenough were being held in Austin, Texas, after their arrest this past week. Harrison County authorities had issued warrants for their arrests on robbery and murder charges.
Authorities were looking for a young man and woman who were caught on surveillance video footage at the Crystal Inn in Gulfport where the body of Thomas Corbin was found on May 3.
Harrison County Sheriff’s Maj. Ron Pullen says Obermiller and Goodenough on Monday waived their right to an extradition hearing in Texas.
Authorities say Corbin is believed to have picked up the two as they hitchhiked through Mississippi.
