Kevin Davis has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the 2007 slaying of a 21-year-old Rocky Creek man.
Prosecutors say Davis, of Lucedale, pleaded guilty to manslaughter July 28, 2008. His sentenced was delayed until Monday because he testified against the convicted shooter, Jeremy Pitts who was convicted last month and sentenced to life in prison.
Davis was sentenced Monday in George County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors say Davis was present at the time of the shooting of Matthew Rogers and fled with Pitts.
Prosecutors say Rogers was killed during an argument among gang members.
