A state College Board committee has resumed interviews for the new chancellor at the University of Mississippi.
Interviews resumed Thursday and were to continue Friday. Five candidates are being considered. Their names have not been made public.
In January, Chancellor Robert Khayat announced his plan to retire June 30. Khayat has led Ole Miss for 14 years.
The College Board is expected to pick a “preferred candidate,” who will hold a series of campus meetings before a final board vote.
