Valedictorian Wren Nightengale is the 18-year-old daughter of Jim and Sharon Nightengaleand earned a number of awards over the course of her time at Poplarvile High School. These include having all an “A” honor roll, being an American All Star Dancer in 10th and 11th grades, winning the Act of Kindness Award in 10th, the most improved softball player award in fast pitch in 9th and in slow pitch in 10th, the tech discovery award in 9th, the microbiology award in 11th, the Ms studies award in 11th, was named Valedictorian of her graduating class, won Who’s Who every year, and won the honor of being Miss PHS for 08-09. Nightengale plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi to study nursing and to pursue a career as a radiologist.
