Lee Co. authorities investigate shooting death

An Okolona man faces a murder charge stemming from a shooting in southwest Lee County.
Authorities say 26-year-old Marcus D. Randle of Okolona is accused in the death of 67-year-old Walter Shumpert, a resident of Lee County.
During a news conference Tuesday, Sheriff Jim Johnson said Randle had turned himself in to authorities. Johnson said the shooting occurred Monday night after an altercation at a residence near Shannon.
