The wife of a prominent Jackson businessman was released on $250,000 bond Monday after pleading not guilty to charges from a Feb. 11 wreck that killed two doctors.

Authorities say 38-year-old Karen Irby is charged with two counts of depraved heart murder in the deaths of Dr. Mark Pogue, a third-year resident at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and his fiancee, Dr. Lisa Dedousis, a resident at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey.

Karen Irby also is charged with one count of aggravated assault for the injuries suffered by her 56-year-old husband, Stuart M. Irby, who was a passenger in the car she was driving.
