Several local camps are on the upcoming calendar for local youth interested in baseball and softball

In Poplarville, Pearl River Community College head baseball coach Jamie McMahon has set three baseball camps for the month of June.

The PRCC Hitting Camp is set for Monday, June 1. Cost of the camp is $50.

The PRCC Pitcher-Catcher Camp is set for Tuesday, June 2. Cost of the camp is $50.

Both one-day camps will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The PRCC Overall Skills Camp is set for June 8-10 (Monday through Wednesday). The three-day camp will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Cost of the camp is $100.

McMahon said the camps are open to all players ages 6-18 and campers will be divided into groups according to their age.

Campers should bring a bat, a glove, cleats or tennis shoes, and a lunch.

• In Picayune, Lady Tide veteran head coach Kristi Mitchell has announced that the PRCC Softball Camp, in conjunction with Lady Wildcats head coach Leigh White, will be held Tuesday, June 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Picayune High School Softball Field.

The cost for the camp is $45 with lunch and a t-shirt included. The camp is for any girl ages 6-17.
