A 38-year-old man who owes $50,000 in child support will serve two years in state prison.
Winfred B. Busby was sentenced Tuesday in Harrison County Circuit Court to five years in prison with four suspended on each of two counts of felony nonsupport of a child, according to a news release from Attorney General Jim Hood’s office.
Judge Lawrence P. Bourgeois Jr. ordered the eight years of suspended sentence be with post-release supervision. Busby also must pay $1,000 in court costs and an extra $250 per month on top of his regular child support after his release from prison.
