Two brothers are charged with aggravated domestic assault after police say they tried to force their father into the trunk of a car at gunpoint.
Police say 18-year-old Royce Lamar Fairley, of Lucedale, and 27-year-old Thomas Lemark Fairley, of Pascagoula, were arrested Monday outside a hospital. The two men were being held at gunpoint by the hospital’s security guards.
Witnesses told police the Fairley brothers appeared to be trying to force another man into the trunk of a car at gunpoint. That man was later identified as their 51-year-old father, Steverson Fairley, of Lucedale.
Police say the confrontation was part of a domestic dispute that began on April 5 when Steverson Fairley allegedly shot and wounded his estranged wife Gloria Fairley.
Authorities are also investigating that incident.
