MUW to host energy conference

The College of Business and Legal Studies at Mississippi University for Women will host a 2009 Energy Conference Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., in MUW’s Nissan Auditorium.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a better understanding of the impact a comprehensive national energy policy will have on economic stability and growth.

Key components that should be included in a national policy will be discussed: challenges in the energy industry and their impact on business, the natural resources of electricity and natural gas, the importance of renewable energy sources and applications of current energy efficient technologies.

These topics will be led by distinguished leaders in the energy field.

Kim Greene, chief financial officer of the Tennessee Valley Authority will deliver the keynote address, “Energy Challenges in an Era of Uncertainty.”
