A Jackson County judge has decided a grand jury will hear the case against Eddie James Pugh IV of New Orleans.
Pugh is one of three people accused of kidnapping two men in New Orleans and killing one of them on a rural Jackson County road.
Pugh, Barron Lecour Borden and Torenda A. Whitmore each are charged with capital murder in the Oct. 8 slaying and double kidnapping.
Borden and Whitmore are scheduled for a May 11 preliminary hearing in county court. All three are being held without bond in the county jail.
Prosecutors say the trio allegedly forced New Orleans residents Rahman MoGilles and Byron Kelsey McCoy into a vehicle and drove them into Mississippi. McCoy died of gunshot wounds and MoGilles was wounded.
