Officials at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center are notifying patients about the February theft of a computer at a Flowood billing company.
CBIZ Medical Management Professionals is used by Lakeland Radiologists. Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center has a contract with Lakeland for X-ray work.
Hospital officials say the office of CBIZ Medical was broken into on Feb. 23.
Among the items stolen was a computer belonging to the hospital with stored radiology reports related to some patients.
Norman Price, chief executive for Southwest Health System, said letters are being sent to patients between December 2007 and Feb. 23, 2009, who might have had records saved on the stolen computer.
