A 38-year-old former Tennessee firefighter has been sentenced to 15 years in prison following his conviction in a Mississippi sexual battery case.

DeSoto County Circuit Court Judge Bobby Chamberlin on Tuesday handed down the sentence to Charles Jackson of Collierville, Tenn., after he pleaded guilty to the crime against a 12-year-old girl while living in Southaven.

Chamberlin also sentenced David Harris to 45 years in prison for the same crime and fondling in a separate case. In Harris’ case, the two victims were both under the age of 7.
