Mississippi’s Chapter 9 Blue Knights will hold a motorcycle ride on Saturday to raise money for the Picayune Maroon Tide Band.

Picayune Police Lt. Chad Dorn said the ride will start at the Picayune Police Department on Main Street. A $20 donation will be collected per bike entered in the ride, which will help fund a trip to Hawaii for the Maroon Tide Band.

Each participating rider will get a T-shirt while supplies last, Dorn said.

The police-escorted ride will cover about 100 miles and cover Hancock and Pearl River Counties. The ride will end at back at the Picayune Police Department where riders will be treated to a hog roast. Side dishes are expected to consist of cole slaw, baked beans and a desert. Drinks will be furnished by Coca-Cola, Dorn said.
