Christian Care Ministries honored their volunteers for National Volunteer Week, April 19-26. Don Gunnels fried all the catfish that was served during a luncheon last Friday to volunteers of both the home delivery and food bank programs as well as the board of directors, said Janet Teague of Christian Care Ministries. For dessert, everyone shared a large cake which boasted this year’s National Volunteer Week theme: “Celebrating People in Action.”
