Magnolia Police Chief Ray Reynolds says he has increased police presence at South Pike High School in the wake of alleged violent threats following last week’s arrests of four students.
Reynolds says he has received calls from parents who are concerned about their children’s safety and he has assigned two officers to the school.
A fight on the high school campus Wednesday led to the arrests of four students.
School officials called police Friday after hearing rumors that the fight would be continued at the school. And students were receiving text messages about an alleged bomb.
No bomb was found at the school.
The names of the students arrested were not released.
